Flash BIOS, Motion C5V does not work

My computer is Motion C5V, Flash to write low version of the BIOS, After the flash，press the power button no reaction.

Motion R12 Tablet PC Black Screen

I'm having trouble with my new Motion Tablet PC.
The screen goes black and I can't do anything. Battery is full and it hasn't gone into sleep mode.
The procedure follow is:
Power Button
Security Button (Contro Alt Delete)
Its a work computer so at this point I click OK to accept the Code of Conduct for my workplace.
The screen goes black and stays black with only the cursor showing.
If I press the Security Button again (Control Alt Delete) the Code of Conduct button/tab shows again...

Motion Computing C5 as a Learning Educational Tool for Kids

Hello,

I dont have one at the moment, but I am getting a pretty low priced good deal on C5 (with main dock and mini easyconnect accessory).

I want to use C5 as a educational resource for the (3-5) kids to practice writing, coloring, drawing and the likes of. Is it a good and proposed use for this kind of tablet. I know it is single touch only, and not capacitive touch hence i would need to use the stylus or digitzer pen to interact, but that is the intended purpose to let them start...

Hello,

Does anyone has any guide or steps how to open and disassemble Motion Computing C5 (CFT-001).

I think I may have some liquid spilled in the back side speaker , although the speaker grill is there. So I want to take a look and maybe get the speaker detached and repaired.

I can hear very low and shrill sound in Windows 7 when playing any movie or even the default windows notification sounds are very slow. The sound slider is set to full

Is it normal , is there any software or...

LE1600 booting from usb?

Does anyone know if it's possible to boot from a usb drive? I don't see it listed in the BIOS as an option. I do see a removeable device, but it would not boot from the flash drive. I use this drive to boot for Ghosting.

TabButtons: per-application button profiles for LE1700/1600

I wrote a small application a couple years ago that allows you to have multiple profiles for the buttons on the LE 1600 and LE1700 and automatically switch between them when the active application changes as well as assign numerous commands to those buttons and extended macros.

I'm posting to gauge interest in something like this to decide if I want to put the time and effort into making it suitable for public release. How many out there still use these tablets and would he interested in this?

Hello all,

I've had my LE1700 for a few years now, and with souped-up memory and an SSD it's worked like a champ. However, I'd like to upgrade to a more modern laptop for everyday use (probably a Macbook), and I'm wondering if it might be possible to use the LE1700 as an external input device, ala a Cintiq? If I could mirror my new laptop's screen to the LE1700 and use it as a graphics tablet, it would save me the trouble of having to move my work from the LE1700 to the Macbook if I want to...

Motion R12 Boot Order Issue

Hi all.

I found a very weird issue on the Motion R12 tablet when deploying a custom Windows 8.1 image.

If I enter the Bios before deploy my custom image, I mean when still have the OEM W8.1 I can change the boot order moving up and down the element USB Key with no issue. I can change the boot order, I save the change. If I reboot the machine and enter again in the Bios the changes I have done are there, everything fine.

The issue comes when I deploy my custom image using a very simple CM...

My LE1700´s WLAN rejects working after wake of standby
(win 8.1 x64).
I changed WLAN-minipci in my X61s and searched for a solution
for my LE1700, it is surely well known that LE1700´s bios blocks
all other WLAN-cards that are not whitelisted in it´s bios.

I found a modified bios which removes the WLAN/WWAN whitelist,
now it´s possible to use any WLAN card you wish.


I think, even the famous Broadcom BCM94360CD with it´s 1300MBit
should work, with this adapter:...

J3400 64 bit graphics driver?

So here's my dilemma.
I got a great deal on a j3400 on eBay... $140! Once it was delivered it had Vista on it which was sluggish but once I put Windows 7 Home Premium on it, it picked up speed. One issue was that it would not let me install the graphics driver because it was apparently rated for Windows Pro and up. So I purchased a copy of Windows 7 pro with drivers from Motion Computing which was cool except it's only 32 bit and I want 64 bit because I'm an artist and I want to run...

I was really lucky and got one of the C5v's on ebay for 150. All it needed was the charger and a os. I was curious about the SSD, and I found a motherboard on ebay as well, and saw that it uses actual sata connectors, so a 1.8 ssd should fit to upgrade the 64gb.

Did anyone else see them? They have the core I5 520um and 2gb of ram. They have the barcode scanner, cameras, not sure about wwan , and wifi N.

Does anyone else have one of these models? Or the F5v which should be the same...

So I tore the very crux of my Motion C5 CFT-001 out of curiosity to know what can be upgraded.

Was daunting initally , lots of screws and then lots of tapes inside to be removed to finally see its motherboard guts.

It has a 1.8 inch ZIF Toshiba MK80205GAL 80GB HDD, surprisingly I was told that mine has 2 GB RAM and probably shows it in the OS (Windows 8 32bit) as well. However when i saw it only has a single slot for a RAM chip which had a Hynix DDR2 PC2 6400S 1GB chip inserted in it....

By Luck,

I was able to grab two of the C5v (coreI5, 2 GB RAM, 128 and 60 GB SSD) from a whole sale trader , who was kinda wanting to dispose them off.

This was used stock, so both had some sort of usage signs and wear/tear. One unit was better and almost carefully used than the other which was badly used and quite dirty (with scuff and gooey marks) . So i picked both, having a backup plan in mind to be able to swap parts if needed. Although both units were working, both had the most...

Motion LE1600 Windows 7 no Wifi, no button functions. Help!

Before you continue reading, I already tired the other tutorials on this site with no success.

I recently gotten a Motion LE1600, it originally had windows XP installed, XP was too slow so I installed Windows 7 successfully and applied Windows updates, but I found out that WIFI and other features no longer work. Can someone please help me and walk me?

Trouble Using a CF card in Motion LS800

Hello!
I recently obtained a used LS800 from eBay, which came without a hard drive. I decided to try using a CF card instead of a traditional hard drive. After ordering a 64 GB 600x CF card, a ZIF to CF card adapter, and a Motion ZIF hard drive ribbon, and installing them all in my LS800, no Windows or Ubuntu installer detects the card. What am I doing wrong? I will include links to all of the items I bought in case they may be helpful.

LE1700 & windows 10 technical preview.

I have an le1700, the core 2 duo 1.06 ghz version, with an upgraded zif ssd and 3 gb of ram. I recently loaded the windows 10 technical preview on it and was pleasantly surprised at how well the hardware is holding up. I also have another le1700, 1.5 core 2 duo running windows 8.1 pro and honestly they are both running excellent.
I've played on windows 10 with sketch book for tablets it it works great. No lag at all.
Has anyone else tried windows 10 on the le1700? I've found some things...

Motion Computing Cl900 Fail to boot from CD/DVD and Internal Drive ...please help

I have this motion computing cl900 that i want to format, so i disabled the Internal drive, and other things on bios except the CD/DVD drive,.......so i connected the CD drive to it....but instead it display.....
USB-to-Ethernet (LAN9500) starting execution

SMSC Loader 2.0 (CP2-3)
No network device found
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

But while i connect the CD/DVD drive......it will only display the same thing....i connect the...
